The price should be written on the bottom of the tag. Please consider the condition of the item when pricing. Items in excellent condition will be priced about 1/3 to 1/2 of the original cost. Worn, marked material or items missing pieces will sell for somewhat less. The chart below gives some general guidelines for the pricing of items. Things that are in excellent or unused condition or a larger size will be priced at the higher end of the price range. Designer brands might also be priced higher.Please do not try to sell clothing that is out of style, badly stained, torn, or has a broken zipper. Items that are badly damaged might be taken off the racks. These are just suggested prices. Large variations in pricing for certain items are to be expected. Please keep the pricing reasonable for a consignment sale. Do not expect to get nearly new value.
We divide tags in price increments when tallying them to prepare consignor payments. Any item over $1.00 should be priced in $.50 increments. If you have lots of little items, we suggest putting several of them in a bag and pricing them at fifty cents or a dollar, rather than at $.25 each. If you put items in a baggie, please safety pin the tag to the outside of the baggie. Do not attach it to the front of the baggie with tape – thanks!!
