Drop-Off

There is one Drop-off shift on Friday:

5:15 pm – 8:15 p.m.  Pre-sale time is Saturday at 7:00 am.

The format and organization of the sales floor depends on the Drop-off volunteers. The focus during the drop-off shift will be on helping consignors put out their items. Some volunteers will have specific areas of the sales floor. Since we have eliminated a drop off shift we will have extra volunteers to help you drop off. These individuals will arrange items on racks and tables, continuously organizing and reorganizing the area as more items arrive. In addition, drop-off volunteers will also be watching the items for quality. Others will prepare and put out donated items. Drop-off positions fill up rapidly. If you need a Friday night shift, sign up early!

Note:This Friday evening shift fills up quickly, and the work is important. Drop-Off volunteers must put their consigned items out BEFORE their shift, starting at 4:30.  There will be no exceptions.  A three hour shift is required to receive the 70% percentage - therefore, please arrange your time well so that you can put out your merchandise as well as work your entire shift.

There is one sub-area within this shift that has a separate sign up.  We need two volunteers to help monitor the traffic in the drop off area.  One volunteer will spend the first half of the shift inside helping with Drop-off while the other is outside, then they will switch at 6:00.

Helping with Drop-off is an important way to contribute to the success of the sale. If you have any questions about your shift or the sale in general, please contact the Drop-off Shift Leader. Her email and phone number are listed on your confirmation email. We are looking forward to working with you at the sale!

Quality Control

There is now a Quality Control shift on Friday:

5:00 pm – 8:00 pm.  Pre-sale time is 7:00 am Saturday.

Volunteers on the quality control team will be ensuring that the merchandise is good quality, thereby improving buyer satisfaction with the sale! As our sale has grown, we have found it more important to monitor the quality of the items for sale. Due to space limitations, we cannot accept items that are old and in poor shape. The primary job of quality control volunteers will be checking the "large items", retagging them, and moving them to the sales floor. You will be given supplies to make the large, bright “Large Item Ticket”. Some information must be recopied from the original tag, the tags stapled together, and the large tag reattached with twine to the item. Then, volunteers will bring this large item to the appropriate location. One volunteer will be in charge of accepting all car seats. The production date should be verified, and the consignor should have a signed Car Seat Form to attach to the car seat. Another volunteer will be responsible for returning inappropriate merchandise to the consignor. Other volunteers will be checking that tags were correctly prepared. This individual will have supplies and materials to help a consignor rewrite one (or more) incorrect tags. This volunteer will also be tagging donated items. If you need a Friday night shift, sign up early!
