Publicity

 *We are no longer allowed to use road side signs (new regulation in Loudoun), so the publicity shift has changed some.

Publicity takes place prior to the sale.

Without the hard work of Publicity volunteers, there would be no consignors, no volunteers, and no shoppers! While the Publicity Shift Leader will place newspaper advertisements, help is always needed with fliers, and word of mouth. Publicity volunteers will be required to put up fliers before the sale, as well as use other means to get the word out about the sale.  There is some flexibility in scheduling the tasks.

You will be mailed a packet of fliers to put up in your area as well as suggested locations. These should be put up at least one or two weeks prior to the sale.

We are also looking for Publicity Volunteers who are able to get the word out in various ways over the internet.  If you have a blog, large email list, or many friends on Facebook, we can use your help!  Also, if you have a preschool or elementary school, or Sunday school that will allow you to distribute fliers directly to the students or their families, this would be hugely helpful  We are also open to your ideas!
