Thank you for supporting the CFC MOPS Sale by shopping at our semi-annual sale. At our sale you will find gently used children’s clothing (infant through size pre-teen), toys, layette, strollers, large equipment, furniture, books, videos and maternity items. Clothing is seasonal. Below you will find helpful hints as well as policies that are in place to help the sale run smoothly.
~ All Sales are Final ~
~ No Tag Items ~
We will do our best to reconnect missing tags and the matching item. However, if we are unable to locate the missing tag and deem that the item is valued at $10 or less, we will sell it for an appropriate price, with 100% of the proceeds going to CFC MOPS.
Arrival Times: Our volunteer pre-sale shoppers arrive between 6 - 7 AM to get in line. (This sale is for volunteers only – for information on volunteering, return to the Home Page and click on the Volunteer Corner.) Our public sale begins at 8 AM and shoppers line up for this sale as early as 6 AM to get a good spot in line. Shoppers will be allowed in groups of 50 or 100 every 15 minutes. Those waiting in the pre-sale and public sale lines are given a numbered ticket for entry. As a courtesy to all those in line, it is our policy that you may not hold a spot in line for someone else to shop with you. Our regular priced sale ends at 11:00 AM and our half price sale is from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM. All shoppers need to be in line for check-out at these times.
NEW!!! EARLY SHOPPING PASSES
Not a volunteer, but would like to shop a half-hour early before the Sale opens to the public? A limited number of early shopping passes will be available for purchase. Passes are $20 each and allow one person to enter our MOPS Consignment Sale at 7:30 am (30 minutes before the Sale opens to the public). Passes are first-come, first-serve and must be paid for in order to be held (passes are not guaranteed until payment is received). Payment can be made by check. There are no refunds for unused passes. Children and spouses must have their own shopping pass. Please e-mail the Consignment Coordinator to reserve and pay for your pass.
Tubs and Strollers: Bring a tub or large mesh shopping bag to carry your items. If you bring an empty stroller to use as a “cart”, a stroller tag must be attached to your stroller when you enter the sale to indicate that it is yours. If you have too much to carry easily, please utilize our Small Item Hold Bay to store items you want to purchase.
Large Items: Large Items are purchased before you leave them in the Large Item Hold Bay to continue shopping. Please be prepared to pay for these items separately at our special Large Hold Bay Register. It is up to those purchasing cribs to disassemble them – tools are provided.
Sorting Items for Purchase: If you need to sort through items prior to purchase, all sorting is done on the stage area of the main room. Please do not sort on the shopping floor so that traffic can move easily around the racks. We request that you only take an armful of items at a time and that you sort through them in a timely manner. Floor volunteers will monitor this area and help put back items you do not wish to purchase. Since the sale is only for a few hours, we really have an obligation to our consignors to keep their items on the racks for purchase by our shoppers. If the stage area becomes congested with shoppers, we may set a time limit for sorting through items. Please be aware that a red dot on a tag means an item may have a slight flaw or stain. We cannot guarantee that videos or items without batteries are in working order.
Children: If you are bringing children with you while you shop the Sale from 8am - 1pm, they should remain with you at ALL times. Please do not allow them to play with consigned toys while you shop. Also, make sure they do not open toys, or remove or lose consignor tags, even if you plan to purchase an item. Our policy is that items without tags may not be purchased. Your help in this area is greatly appreciated. Note: Children are not allowed to enter the Volunteer Pre-Sale out of safety for them and fairness to other shoppers. The only exception to this is nursing infants who can be held in a soft baby carrier. If you arrive at the Volunteer Pre-Sale with children, you will be asked to wait for the public sale to begin.
Half-Price Sale (11:30 AM-1:00 PM): This is becoming more popular with each sale. The regular sale ends at 11:00 AM and all shoppers must proceed to the cashier line at this time. The sale will close for 30 minutes from 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM to to prepare for the Half-Price Sale. Shoppers will not be allowed into the sale at this time. Our floor volunteers go through each rack during this time to make sure items are on the appropriate racks. Items may not be set aside during the regular sale for purchase at the Half-Price Sale. Remember: items with an “X” in the upper corner of the tag are not sold at half-price.

Clothes and toys: $1 each
Books and videos: 4/$1.00
