Every Sale brings more stories of how families in our area have been helped or blessed by it.  We are thankful to be able to serve the families of Northern VA in this way! 


The MOPS consignment sale has been such a blessing to our family for years.  With three boys, I have enough clothes for an army.  I should be able to just pass things down, right?  Wrong...who knew boys were so fussy about their clothes - jeans, no jeans, elastic waists, collars, no collars.... I have been able to "recycle" clothes, buy awesome clothes for a fraction of the price, make a little money, all the while helping out a wonderful organization.  It is a win-win sale for all!

Our family has been blessed by the sale in so many ways.......not only is it a great way to buy clothes/toys for your own kids at such wonderful prices, but as a consignor it is a GREAT feeling to sort through your own outgrown clothes and toys and know that you are helping out other families as well.  I get my kids involved in the process (which is sometimes no easy task), so now as we determine which items are for the sale, they are getting to the point where they say "I can't use/wear that any more, some other little girl/boy can use that".   In the end, the sale is what helps fund the local CFC MOPS group, which has been a tremendous support and encouragement to me personally as a mom.

I had my first baby last June and went to my first MOPS Consignment sale in October 2007. I was extremely impressed and pleased with the organization (layout, tagging, different check out lines depending on how many items you purchase, etc.) and wide selection of high quality toys and clothes available. I bought more than I had originally planned, but definitely walked away with some great deals!! I can't wait for the next sale! :)

I started attending the Mops sale in 2004.  My daughter was only about 6 weeks old then. For the past seven sales, I have been coming down from Western PA just for the sales.  I volunteer, consign and shop at each sale.  The women are always so welcoming and helpful.  I feel truly blessed to be a part of this fabulous event.  I have made many wonderful friendships along the way!  I look forward to many more sales with the CFC MOPS!!!  Thank you!!

Stumbling onto this MOPS consignment sale in 2001 has been a blessing for our entire family. As a consignor, shopper and volunteer for the past 12 sales, I have been able to sell my daughters' clothes to make room for new things, purchased items at a fraction of the retail cost, and made some new friends. Each spring and fall, my daughters sort through toys/games/books and decide what they no longer want to keep. They have learned about selling items, saving some money and using some money to buy new things. My husband just loves the fact that we are moving things out of the house! We hope that the MOPS organization has benefited from our participation in their consignment sale as much as we have.

My life is blessed because God has given me the tools to be a mentor and a mom to 3 beautiful teeneage girls.  I am a foster mom.  Each of my girls have a child and they are awesome parents.  I thank God for giving me the strength and patience to nurture my girls and be able to take care of my own 3 kids everyday.

As we all know, kids grow faster than we do so the need for clothes grows and grows every time you turn around. This winter I bought all size 3 for my daughter and then she had a complete growth spurt and she now needs a size 5,  for example. There have been times when money was tight for various reasons. This sale has been a big help in those times. Not only that, I could find things that you don't always see in the store around here, such as hand-made in Italy or "by grandma". It's fun to see what stuff ladies bring each year. It's like Forest Gump says " You never know what you gonna get" LOL! It feels good to help others find a good bargain as well. I tell all my friends about the sale every year.  With something this good I wouldn't want to keep it all to myself!  Our family had a new little one coming and we received donations from the MOPS consignment sale to help. What a wonderful blessing from God, and the MOPS girls! It was like Christmas Day! The happiness that filled my soul was like a pure gift of love and promise that we would make it through these financial scary times.  The MOPS Consignment sale has been a true blessing in our family and I hope it will bring you as much joy to your family too.
