 Other Upcoming Events and Opportunties

Thanks to all of you who participated in the “largest volunteer day in the history of CFC” this past Saturday, July 31st!

Over 725 volunteers from all over the community packaged 142,580 meals for the people of Haiti which left at 5pm on Saturday and was driven to Miami and will be feeding the children and elderly connected with the Ford Orphanage near Cap Haitian.

Here is a video we showed at the event which shows the recipients of the food:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ytSzxLRBZY

Over 40 CFC volunteers were involved and here are the numbers from the Redskins/Red Cross Blood Drive:  We collected 337 pints of blood!  (Last year we collected 296 pint)  Amazing results!

Thanks for all of those who helped to make this a very successful day!

Days of Service

Details of projects included in each respective "Day of Service" will be promoted at least 3 weeks prior to the event date.  A "Day of Service" is a designated day one time per month in which a specific emphasis on serving is encouraged and implemented.

“Day of Service” is sponsored by the Local Outreach Department through the efforts of the Community Outreach Team on a periodic basis to promote “sample” opportunities for the people of Christian Fellowship Church which will lead to confirming potential on-going serving within the respective organizations."

Local Outreach – Good News and Good Deeds Go Together

To mobilize the people of Christian Fellowship Church to serve locally.  To build bridges to our community through compassion work.   We are constantly offering weekend days of service opportunities that allow our congregation to experience serving here in Loudoun County by partnering with local organizations in order to come alongside and meet the needs of the individual and/or the community.
